Well its been too long coming but I have finally gotten around to completing episode #5 of Chill 2 Live and I promise to get back to the weekly podcast schedule that I began with. I hadn't checked into the site for quite a bit and was pleasantly surprised to see that there has been more than 4000 downloads of the first 4 episodes. It's obvious that people like the music and there doesn't seem to be too many downtempo focused podcasts out there at the moment.

Chill2live Episode #3

I apologize to those of you who checked for episode #3 of Chill2live, last week only to find it not there. I spent the week out on Martha's Vineyard and the house we stayed at had no internet access so I was without motivation as slipped easily into the holiday mode that the Island always seems to put me in.
    I did manage to finish two books that I had been reading which is always a plus, the first is Consider The Eel about the natural and gastronomic history of that slimy creature the Eel and the other was The Alchemist, a really beautiful story of a boy on a journey for his inner treasure. I thoroughly enjoyed both books and highly recommend both.
    Anyhow I am happy to get back into the swing of things and put together a really nice third episode of Chill2live that I hope, you too will enjoy.

    So I have finally decided to set up a Twitter account. I cannot believe how late I am in doing this, I really had no idea just how huge Twitter has become. I was using some websites recently that allowed me to see live Tweets coming from Iran regarding the situation there, but I didn't think that I would have any use for tweeting myself.
    I have been spending some time recently trying to promote the podcast and new blog site (this one) and reading some online articles about blog promotion and such and I'm amazed at the amount of times people were saying that you need to be on Twitter for this or that.
    So I now have set a goal, and that is to have 1000 people following my tweets asap.
    If you twitter then please add me and have your friends have their friends add me too
    Also if you have any ideas on how I can promote the podcast please drop it in the comments because there are many people who would like to have this kind of information including me.
    One last thing, if you are around this weekend in the Boston area, I will be laying down some tunes for your listening pleasure at The Alchemist Lounge in Jamaica Plain on Satuday night, please stop in and say hello.

After one week I have gotten some great feedback for the first episode of Chill2live and I'm extremely humbled by the responses. I hope that if you continue to like the podcast you will leave some comments at the site so that others can see what's pushing your buttons. I am especially interested in what your favourite chillout track of all time is.

I want kick off Chill 2 Live with a track that to me is what chillout is all about, every time I play this track I think more and more about sitting on a patio somewhere with the hustle and bustle behind me and a beautiful sunrise in front of me. Many people associate chillout with the sunset sessions in Ibiza with at the end of the day, however Sonogram seems to be a sunrise tune rather than a sunset and so I found it appropriate to begin the Chill 2 Live podcast with the this tune, I hope you enjoy...

    So for months now I have been procrastinating about starting a podcast. I hope that now that I have that you will be a part of it with me. Feel free to comment on the shows (I'm pretty thick skinned) . With your feedback and recommendations we can make this something special.
    I will be featuring some of my favourite downtempo and chillout tracks and artists with you every week, so give a listen and I hope that you enjoy it.
    I'm also aware that there are a gazillion podcast out there so remember to bookmark this site if you think you may be interested in listening because it's very easy to get lost in the shuffle.
